For great garlic:
Highly fertile soil, organic matter, water etc., etc. you heard it all before, but it goes double for garlic. No weeds at all: none, nada, zip, zilch. The big secret is to plant in the fall and mulch in Dec.

key idea: plant garlic in the fall, mulch in December
Well, all we need to do now is actually plant some garlic … My wife’s the gardener, not me whatsoever (ok, so I’ll rota-till for her), and she only does a few things such as the mint growing next to the garage door (there’s a pic on the page I’m building at http://frogleg.mvps.org/mi_cuisine/natural_flavors/index.html). Meanwhile, though, it seems as though our two blogs here are going to get along quite well.

Thanks. I visited your web site, there’s a lot of stuff on there that you can’t find in any one place except there as far as I can see. I plan on checking it out often. Very cool blog too.
